Episode 6: Jess ~ Circles on Fitz

To finish off our limited podcast series for Evolve Beyond 2022, last but not the least by any measure is Jess from Circles on Fitz in beautiful WA. Jess, a true leader in the industry has a lot to say about team, culture and how to build a successful thriving business. 

"Shift from being a business owner to being a true entrepreneur”

“With the loss of industry events, and being able to see each other every day… Jess tried really hard to keep the salon culture alive and find different ways to motivate the team during the boarder closure and lockdowns in WA. It is safe to say that Cricles is one salon that takes team, culture and business savvy to new and inspiring heights. 

“Prioritise your days…so you can get everything done”, says Jess who makes sure to ensure that communication is open and a thriving part of the culture to all current and past team members.

“If someone leaves or moves on and leaves the salon or the industry…it has nothing to do with you…don’t take it personally and stay in touch with them and always keep communication open”. Not only does this communicate that the door is always open it is also a visionary example of someone who believes that there are true leaders in the business.

What advice can Jess give to the new generation?

“find yourself a mentor and focus on nailing your Ideal Client Avatar. When you find them, ask yourself 'how do we find more people like this?'".
